We are passionate about chocolate because it’s delicious. The fact that it can also heal the sick is a side benefit*. Although lacking the skills to make fine artisan chocolates ourselves, we have done a great job at finding talented types who can. While they’re in their kitchens and studios dreaming up fabulous new recipes, you’ll find us in the post room, lovingly parcelling up chocolate for delivery to your doorstep.

Our chocolatier

Born and bred in Paris, Isabelle Alaya now lives and works in London making artisan chocolates. Her chocolate journey began as a child, when she would spend hours savouring the little squares of chocolate her mother gave her every evening after dinner.

Upon growing up, Isabelle briefly forgot all about chocolate. She travelled the world and made a name for herself as a manager on the New York restaurant scene. She loved NYC and enjoyed her work, but felt in need of greater fulfilment. One serendipitous chocolate-making class later, Isabelle rediscovered her childhood passion and began experimenting with making chocolates – at first for herself, and then as a professional chocolatier in London. Flavour was Isabelle’s thing, and she became obsessed with creating compelling new combinations.

Using only the finest all-natural ingredients from around the world, today Isabelle reigns supreme as a flavoured chocolate hit-maker and world-renowned hot chocolate queen. We are extremely proud to have Isabelle on board as Chocdrop’s supplier of outrageously delicious artisan chocolates.
